if i could find someone to trust if i could find one single something provable if the goal posts were immovable stones and we heeded the screams in our bones if only facts were just facts if only the truth was indisputable if time well spent was our only goal if we could climb out of this hole here we are beyond the pale now that the compass has failed but we can take back the control i’m climbing out of the hole

Miracle/Mess 03:58
i’ve sent a million prayers i’ve shared a million shares that don’t make a change we’ve chased a million thrills we’ve popped a million pills that don’t stop the pain the war on knowledge wages on we wait with bated breath at sunsets for brighter dawns this is the miracle the mess of brilliance of idle minds of all this loneliness you’ve won a million wars captured a million souls that don’t make you strong we know a million words we know a million chords that don’t make a song the war on knowledge wages on we wait with bated breath at sunsets for brighter dawns this is the miracle the mess of brilliance of idle minds of all this loneliness push us toward the outrage they push us toward the fear they push us toward the feeling that the facts cannot be clear push us to want money they push us to want fame they push the faulty fiction that we are not the same this is the miracle the mess of brilliance of idle minds of all this loneliness the war on knowledge wages on and on and on we wait with bated breath at sunsets for brighter dawns this is the miracle this is the mess of brilliance of idle minds of all this loneliness

i’m saying no to black holes of negativity cause all i want’s sunshine and positivity i been down too long too much gravity i could use just a little bit of levity i’m saying no to black holes of negativity i know these times are tough not much clarity and everyone lives in their own reality i could use just a little bit of harmony all this wasted time it weighs on my mind i know who I should be… but it don’t come easy

about

iTopia is a concept album that explores issues of technology and social media and their impacts on our lives, relationships, and mental health. It follows a character falling down the rabbit hole, starting with techno-utopianism and finding an online tribe, to a growing obsession and addiction, to the dark side of the internet and the most anti-social parts of social media. Eventually our protagonist reaches a turning point—a moment of clarity—and starts climbing out of the hole, trying to find out what's true and what isn't, seeing how they’re being used by the attention economy, fighting against anti-intellectualism, and finally making a shaky attempt at optimism.

It’s a story about all of us–and our vulnerability at even the slightest wrong turn.
